Machu Picchu by Train


This trip takes you on one of the most incredible train journeys in the world to reach a magnificent site : Machu Picchu!! This zigzag route upwards to the highest point of the railway (3668m/12033ft), and continues through the typical Andean regions down to the tropical area of Machu Picchu located at 2400m/7873ft above the sea level.


Day 1: Machu Picchu

We`ll pick you up from your hotel at about 5:30 to take you to the bus station and in a 4 hours ride we`ll arrive at Aguas Calientes. Upon the arrival we`ll go to the bus station heading for Machu Picchu.

After 15 minutes we`ll get at the famous citadel. You`ll be with you guide for about 2 hours. After this you`ll have free time (2 hours) for strolling around and even climb to the Wayna Picchu. After this, we'll take the downward bus to take the lunch, and then to take the returning train to Cuzco. Transfer to your hotel.
